    Enjoyed it Ren thanks for posting! I don't know if is XP11 (version I'm running) or if I am doing something wrong with my TorqueSim Cirrus but sometimes when I do an approach and the FMS gets to the FAF I get a full scale deflection to the right and the AP makes the plane turn hard right for about 5 seconds. Then it centers again and I can continue the approach. Obviously this doesn't happen in real life so I don't worry about it too much. Watching your approach it seemed to work flawlessly so I must be doing something wrong. -Shane

    78kt? Im sorry that is very slow for an airplane we all know doesn't glide well. There is no fee for using more runway, so unless the runway is extremely short (like 2000ft) there is no reason to fly that slow on final.

    • @TheRenBaron
      @TheRenBaron 6 месяцев назад

      Thanks for posting but I'm going to respectfully disagree with you on this one. When landing the SR22T 77-78 knots is exactly the speed you should be at over the numbers. I've flown almost 1,000 hours and 800 landings in my Cirrus and those numbers work. Cheers-Ren

    • @rdawgz866
      @rdawgz866 6 месяцев назад

      Ren you are an excellent pilot and this is only for a respectful discussion. But it seems you targeted that 78kt on short final not over the numbers, not sure how far out you targeted that airspeed. With full flaps this thing would glide like a rock. So yes it has always worked for you but you also never lost an engine. So I don't see the value on being on the slower end of things unless runway length is a factor.

    Hi Ren, I have been watching your videos, Your are doing a great job, very educational! question, what is the sim that you are using? what does it cost? is the ATC a simulation as well (it sound real)? can you file IFR and get clearances?

    • @TheRenBaron
      @TheRenBaron 6 месяцев назад

      Thanks for the kind words. I use the Realsimgear Cirrus Cockpit setup. Here is a link to a video that describes the whole setup. ruclips.net/video/SrNBS6zSl0k/видео.htmlsi=OY3uASBixLQqzYIC . The ATC you are hearing is provided by a plugin called Pilotedge (www.pilotedge.net ) which provides live interaction with off duty ATC controllers and is an essential part of the sime experience. Cheers-Ren

    Hey Steve, thanks for this excellent demo of the Realsimgear Cirrus cockpit. Can you tell me if the FMS CRS knob functions like the one in your real Cirrus? I'm having trouble with the one in my RSG sim. For example, when I use it to 'Test' a VOR (by turning the CDI through 360 degrees) it turns super-slow. Or if you're flying a hold manually, and you need to turn the CRS by 180 degrees, it turns really slowly. Did you find this?

    • @TheRenBaron
      @TheRenBaron 9 месяцев назад

      The CRS button requires a bit more work than than in a real Cirrus but not enough to make a real issue. Cheers-Ren
